You’d think scoring the winner in any game would put you in a fine mood, but not if you’re Robin Van Persie, who was left fuming with Fenerbahce boss Vitor Pereira after being left on the bench for the match with Bursaspor over the weekend.
The Dutch striker looked to have some choice words for his manager as he entered the fray, and then hit out at Pereira’s decision in his post-match interview.
To be honest, I am not very happy at this moment. I was not happy that I started on the bench. I am fully fit, physically very well and able to play for 90 minutes. The only right answer I could give was with what I did: helping the team to get the victory.
